How To Stay Healthy This Summer

The Summer heat is almost here! That means swimming, beach trips, picnics and vacations! How can you keep your skin healthy and glowing? Here are some tips that will help!



Keeping your body hydrated means keeping your skin hydrated. When you sweat your body losses essential water that needs to be replenished. Remember you need to drink at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water EVERY DAY. So invest in a cute new water bottle and drink up!


Stock up on Sunscreen! At least SPF 15 but SPF 30+ is better. You will be out in the sun more often and being in the water amplifies the effects of UV rays. Make sure you purchase a face sunscreen and a body sunscreen. All areas of your skin need different attention. With extra sweat being produced you don't want your pores to clog and cause a break out on your face or your body.


Make sure your skin is in tip top shape for bathing suit season! Keep your skin clear and soft with a weekly exfoliating treatment. REMEMBER too much exfoliation will actually irritate your skin and have an adverse effect. A gentle face exfoliating scrub and an exfoliating body wash should be perfect for regular weekly use. Don't forget your elbows, knees and feet! If you want to take it to the next level a pumice stone is great for stubborn dry areas and a dry brush not only exfoliates but can help you detoxify your body as well!


Chlorine and Salt Water can wreak havoc on your hair, especially if you color it. Here is a simple tip to keep your hair looking smooth and silky. Before you jump into the water dampen your hair and spritz on some leave in conditioner. The conditioner will seal your hair and minimize damage from the water. You are welcome!
